Profile
Herry Suryadi Djayaprabha was born in Bandung on December 16, 1978. He has been working as a permanent lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) since 2011. He began studying at the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, UNPAR, in 1997, and he obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (ST) degree in 2002. His Master of Engineering (MT) degree was obtained in 2010 in the UNPAR Postgraduate Program with a concentration field in structural engineering. In 2018, he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech) in the field of construction materials, with research topics on the development of new construction materials without cement. His dissertation was entitled “Influence of Calcined Dolomite on Engineering Properties and Durability of Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag-Based Cementitious Materials.” He is actively teaching in the UNPAR Civil Engineering Department. Several courses that he teaches are Construction Material Technology, Matrix Structural Analysis, Reinforced Concrete Structure, and Behavior of Concrete Materials. Beside that, he is also active in advising both undergraduate and graduate students to write their theses as well as doing research. Starting in October 2019, he will serve as Head of the Structural Engineering Laboratory in the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, UNPAR. His research interest is in concrete materials, the utilization of waste material as construction materials, alkali-activated materials, and non-destructive testing on concrete materials.
